Strategic Nonprofit Leadership for Lasting Impact

The Social Impact Strategist (SIS) is a platform for ideas, strategy and institution-building at the intersection of leadership, philanthropy and social impact.

Led by Monique Brizz-Walker, SIS brings together decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, convening and capacity building. Monique is committed to examining the conditions that allow important work to take hold and grow.

In this space, our interest goes beyond what organizations do. We are interested in how leaders think, build relationships, access capital and design relationships to grow their impact.

We help build the thinking, relationships and infrastructure that make consequential work possible.

Serious work rarely rests on a single idea, relationship or resource. We consider the conditions that allow important work — and the people leading it — to develop with greater depth and possibility.

Thought.
Rigorous ideas, speakers and frameworks that deepen how leaders think about their work.

Relationship.
Trusted peer relationships built with intention.

Access.
Meaningful connection to institutional, philanthropic and financial resources.

Experience.
Gatherings designed with care, hospitality and cultural depth.

The Gathering Table is a curated membership and convening platform designed for accomplished women leaders, primarily age 50 and older, who are leading organizations, enterprises, institutions and important bodies of work.

I have spent much of my professional life thinking about what allows important work to take hold.

Sometimes it is strategy. At other times it is capital. Longer term it is access to the right room, the right relationship or an idea that changes how we understand what is possible.

But increasingly, I believe the most impactful work begins even earlier — with the environments we create for people to think clearly, encounter one another meaningfully and build with intention.

The Social Impact Strategist grew from that belief.

It is a place for ideas, inquiry and the careful development of work I believe deserves room to become something more.
